What to Bring: Your Trip Checklist
Being prepared ensures a great day on the water. Pack these essentials to stay comfortable and legal:
Valid CA Fishing License: Required for all anglers. If we are targeting Sturgeon or Steelheard, a report card is needed. You can purchase your license and when needed report card online via the CDFW Website - https://www.licenses.wildlife.ca.gov/internetsales/
Food & Drinks: Pack enough lunch, snacks, and beverages for a full 6–8 hour day.
Layered Clothing: River mornings are often 20° colder than in town. Bring heavy layers and rain gear; you can peel them off as the valley heats up.
Sun Protection: Bring a hat, polarized sunglasses, and lotion-style sunscreen (please, no spray-on as it makes the deck slippery).
Coolers: Bring one small ice chest for your daily boat snacks and a larger one left in your vehicle to transport your fillets home.
Kids' Life Jackets: Children 13 and under must wear a life jacket at all times. We provide adult vests, but please bring a comfortable, fitted life jacket for your children.
Camera/Phone: To capture your "fish of a lifetime." Capt. Rob will also take photos throughout the day to share with you.
